Audi revels the interior of Q9, brand’s largest SUV to date
Audi has revealed the interior of the new Audi Q9 for the first time, showcasing what will become the largest, most luxurious and most technologically advanced SUV ever produced by the German brand. The model is expected to sit above the Q7 in Audi’s lineup and arrive in 2026.
With seating for up to seven passengers, a premium-focused interior and several new technologies, the Q9 aims to compete directly with models such as the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS.
An interior designed for luxury and comfort
According to Audi, the new Q9 was developed to offer an experience closer to a “luxury lounge” on wheels. The main focus is on interior space, long-distance comfort and onboard technology for every passenger.
The SUV will be available in six- or seven-seat configurations. In the more luxurious versions, the second row will feature individual electric seats with heating, ventilation and multiple adjustment options.
Audi is also focusing on premium materials, new finishes and an overall higher-quality cabin feel, something many customers had been requesting in recent models.
Electric doors and a massive panoramic roof
One of the most impressive features of the new Q9 is its automatic electric doors — a first for Audi.
The doors can open and close automatically through the key, mobile app or infotainment system. Sensors are used to prevent collisions with obstacles or nearby vehicles.
Another highlight is the large panoramic roof with electronically adjustable transparency, allowing passengers to control the amount of light entering the cabin.
Technology takes center stage
Inside, Audi continues its “Digital Stage” philosophy already seen in the brand’s latest models.

Despite the heavy focus on digital controls, Audi decided to keep some important physical buttons, including a traditional volume control.

According to Audi, the full world premiere of the new Audi Q9 is scheduled for summer 2026.
