Final tests for HC Turquel

Last weekend, Hóquei Clube de Turquel held their last two pre-season tests before the start of the II Division National Championship on 5 October.

On Friday 27 September, despite an excellent display against the first division rivals AD Valongo, the ‘Brutos-dos-Queixos’ lost 4-2, with goals from Tiago Mateus and Martim Vicente. In this pre-season, they had already beaten the Valongo side 5-1 in the XXIII Dr Joaquim Guerra Tournament.

On Saturday, with 3rd/4th place still up for grabs, André Luís' team drew two all against Juventude de Viana during regulation time and then lost 4-3 from direct free kicks. HC Turquel thus finished in last place in the Cidade de Valongo Tournament, which was also attended by another I Division team, Juventude Pacense (winners of the tournament).
