Third Generation Audi Q3: More Powerful, Intelligent and Sustainable

Third Generation Audi Q3: More Powerful, Intelligent and Sustainable

The new Audi Q3 has just entered its third generation and promises to raise standards in the premium compact segment. With a more emotional design, cutting-edge technology, more sustainable mobility solutions and a deeply digitised interior, the compact SUV from the ‘brand with the four rings’ reinforces its status as a benchmark in the European market.

With more than two million units sold since the launch of the first generation, the Audi Q3 has now been revamped with the aim of combining efficiency, comfort and driving dynamics, with a range of versatile and electrified engines. New features include a plug-in hybrid version with up to 119 kilometres of electric range (preliminary figures) and a DC charging system of up to 50 kW.

The exterior design combines muscular proportions with an elegant silhouette. The new Singleframe grille, narrow headlights and pronounced shoulders inspired by the quattro heritage give it a striking presence on the road. For the first time on an Audi compact model, digital Matrix LED headlights with micro-LED technology are available, guaranteeing highly precise and safe lighting, even in the most demanding conditions. The rear also evolves, with the introduction of digital OLED headlights and a continuous light strip.

In the cabin, the focus is clearly on digitalisation and comfort. The new Audi Q3 features a panoramic digital dashboard with 11.9-inch instrumentation and 12.8-inch MMI Touch, with a curved, driver-orientated design. There's also a head-up display, customisable ambient lighting in 30 colours, a 15W induction charger and an innovative SONOS sound system with 12 speakers and 420 watts.

Sustainability is also a priority: the interior uses recycled fabrics and materials, including plastics converted from fishing nets and industrial waste. This environmental commitment is combined with practical solutions such as the 488-litre boot, which can be extended to 1,386 litres with the seats folded, and towing capacity of up to 2,100 kg.

Mechanically, the range includes:

  • Q3 TFSI 110 kW (150 hp) with mild-hybrid technology;

  • Q3 TDI 110 kW (150 hp) ideal for long distances;

  • Q3 TFSI quattro 195 kW (265 hp) with all-wheel drive;

  • Q3 e-hybrid 200 kW (272 hp) with plug-in hybrid system and benchmark electric range.

The new suspension with adaptive damper control offers a more balanced and dynamic driving experience. The Audi drive select system allows you to select between various modes, including a new balanced mode and, for versions with quattro traction, an offroad plus mode.

Safety and driving assistance have also been reinforced. The new Q3 offers features such as:

  • Adaptive driving assistant with lane change assist;

  • Interior camera with fatigue detection;

  • Intelligent parking system with memory for recurring manoeuvres;

  • Hazard warning signals projected onto the road via the headlights.

The launch is scheduled for October 2025, with orders available as early as the summer. In Germany, prices start at €44,600 for the Q3 TFSI and €49,300 for the Q3 e-hybrid.

With this update, Audi is reinforcing its commitment to more efficient, connected and user-centred mobility. The new Q3 represents a firm step towards the future of the premium compact SUV segment.
