New Audi Q3: sportier, more digital and more efficient
The Audi Q3 remains one of the brand’s greatest successes and, with the arrival of the third generation, it raises the bar even higher in the premium compact segment. With a more emotional design, more advanced technology, and greater efficiency in its engines, the new Q3 arrives on the European market this autumn, available in SUV and Sportback versions.
With over two million units sold worldwide since its debut, the Q3 asserts itself as a benchmark. It now features muscular proportions and dynamic lines, enhanced by a wider Singleframe grille, digital Matrix LED headlights with micro-LED technology, and digital OLED rear lights. The result is a striking, modern presence that combines aesthetics with functionality.
Interior
Inside, the focus is clearly on digitalization and comfort. The new panoramic dashboard combines an 11.9-inch digital cluster with a 12.8-inch MMI touchscreen, creating a true “digital stage” brought from the luxury range into the compact segment. Connectivity is ensured by the Android Automotive operating system, integration of apps such as YouTube, and the Audi voice assistant with artificial intelligence. Sustainable materials, customizable ambient lighting, and a premium SONOS sound system further enhance the onboard experience.
In terms of space and versatility, the Q3 remains practical and family-friendly: a luggage compartment with 488 liters of capacity (up to 1,386 liters with seats folded in the SUV) and rear seats adjustable in length and inclination. The towing capacity reaches 2,100 kg, underlining its multifaceted character.
Engines
Mechanically, the range is diverse. The entry-level version features a 1.5 TFSI engine with 150 hp and mild-hybrid technology, while the 2.0 TDI with 150 hp stands out for its efficiency on long journeys. Petrol versions go up to 265 hp with quattro all-wheel drive. The plug-in hybrids, Audi Q3 SUV and Q3 Sportback e-hybrid, combine the 1.5 TFSI petrol engine with an electric motor for a total output of 272 hp. Thanks to the new 25.7 kWh battery, they offer up to 119 km of electric range, with charging from 10% to 80% in under 30 minutes at 50 kW.
Driving dynamics have also evolved. The new damper system, sports suspension, and adaptive suspension promise a better balance between comfort and agility. The Audi drive select introduces the new Balanced mode, designed to provide the best combination of efficiency and driving pleasure.
Safety
In terms of safety, the Q3 integrates a wide range of assistive technologies: from adaptive cruise control to driver fatigue monitoring systems, lane-change assistant, and autonomous parking. An interior camera monitors signs of driver distraction, while 360º cameras make everyday maneuvers easier.
Produced in Győr (Hungary) and Ingolstadt (Germany), the new Audi Q3 will reach dealerships starting in October. In Germany, prices begin at €44,600 for the Q3 SUV 1.5 TFSI and €46,450 for the Q3 Sportback. Plug-in hybrid versions start at €49,300 for the SUV and €51,150 for the Sportback.
Sportier, more digital, and more efficient, the Audi Q3 strengthens its status as a best-seller and is set to remain a benchmark choice for those seeking a premium compact SUV that is versatile and future-ready.
