Benecar joins the Benedita Half Marathon
Benecar – Cidade do Automóvel is proud to be the official sponsor of the Benedita Half Marathon 2025, whose first edition will take place on September 14, 2025. The event is organized by the Benedita Volunteer Firefighters and technically managed by Native Warriors. This partnership reflects a clear intention to support a noble cause and reinforces Benecar’s commitment to the local community. Earlier this year, Benecar also hosted the Benecar Kids Party, welcomed the Portugal de Lés-a-Lés rally, and organized the Benedita Classic Festival.
More than just a sporting event, this half marathon is a fundraising initiative in favor of the Benedita Volunteer Firefighters — an institution that has been dedicated for decades to protecting lives and property in the region. The event promises to be a landmark on the regional calendar, blending sports, solidarity, and dynamism.
The route crosses the heart of Benedita and its surrounding rural areas, extending to the parish of Turquel. One of the highlights will be the unique opportunity for participants in the main races (10 km and 21 km) to run through the Cidade do Automóvel, where a refreshment station will be set up in a special activation designed to surprise both athletes and visitors.
With the start and finish line located at the emblematic Praça Damasceno Campos, September 14 promises to be a lively day in Benedita, filled with activations and moments of celebration.
The event includes:
Half Marathon (21 km)
10 km Race
5 km Walk
Kids / Parents & Children Race (~500 m)
