These interruptions are temporary and scheduled as part of a national preventive maintenance plan. Still, it is important that residents and businesses in these areas prepare in advance.

Impact on electric vehicle owners

Electric vehicle owners should be particularly attentive. The temporary lack of power may make home charging impossible during the outage period. Therefore, it is recommended to complete charging before Sunday dawn, ensuring enough battery range for any trips during the day.

In addition, it is advisable to:

  • Check the battery level on Saturday night;

  • Avoid scheduling automatic charging between 05:00 and 11:00;

  • Identify public charging stations outside the affected areas in case an alternative is needed;

  • Confirm whether your condominium, garage, or charging point is within the affected zone.

A useful reminder for everyone

These maintenance operations are part of E-Redes’ regular efforts to ensure a safer and more reliable energy supply, especially in densely populated areas. Although they may cause some temporary inconvenience, they are essential to prevent unexpected failures and improve the stability of the electrical network.

To find out if your address is included in the outage plan, visit the E-Redes website and enter your postal code. This way, you can confirm the exact time of the power cut and plan your weekend without surprises.
