A renovated Renault 4L

At the Paris Motor Show, Renault unveiled the final version of the revamped Renault 4L.

In a fully electric version, the Renault 4 E-Tech will hit the streets in 2025 and is expected to arrive in Portugal in September. Inspired by the French brand's famous model, this is a reinvention of the brand's iconic model combined with new technologies.

Design with touches of nostalgia

Inspired by the original shape of the Renault 4L, the design of the new model retains its simple, elegant lines, but with a modern twist. The round LED headlights hark back to the past, while the roof adds a touch of sophistication.

With a wheelbase of 2.62 metres, the Renault 4 E-Tech offers more comfort for occupants, especially in the rear seats. The boot, with a capacity of 420 litres, is generous for a car of this size and exceeds that of the future Renault 5, another flagship model on its way to becoming electric.

The new 4L is equipped with 100 per cent electric technology, available in two options:

.

A 120 hp (90 kW) engine with a 40 kWh battery, providing a range of around 300 kilometres.

A more powerful 148 hp (110 kW) version with a 52 kWh battery, allowing journeys of up to 400 kilometres on a single charge.

.

Both versions feature front-wheel drive and support for fast charging of up to 100 kW, allowing 80 per cent of the battery to be recovered in just half an hour. These figures position Renault 4 E-Tech as an efficient and sustainable solution to the demands of modern mobility.

Inside, Renault 4 E-Tech is equipped with a 10.1-inch digital instrument panel and a 10-inch central touchscreen, integrating the brand's latest infotainment system. The AmpR Small platform, shared with the new Renault 5, guarantees a spacious and functional interior, as well as agile and comfortable driving.

Production and arrival on the market

Produced in Maubeuge, France, the new Renault 4 E-Tech will be launched on the market in 2025. Although prices have not yet been officially released, it is estimated that the base model will have a starting price of around 28,000 euros.
