MINI and Bulldog Racing together again at the Nürburgring
The legend is back! After a memorable class victory in 2024, the MINI John Cooper Works returns to Nürburg - Germany, to take on the 53rd edition of the 24h Nürburgring, one of the most demanding challenges in the automotive world. From 19 to 22 June 2025, all eyes will be on the legendary German circuit, where MINI and Bulldog Racing promise to put on a show in a competition where only the strongest survive.
Alongside Bulldog Racing, a German racing team specialising in endurance races, MINI is preparing to tackle the 24h Nürburgring, bringing with it not only top performance and engineering, but also a visually stunning collaboration with lifestyle brand Deus Ex Machina.
Known as the ‘Green Hell’, the Nürburgring circuit is a test of survival for cars and drivers. With technical corners, steep climbs and long straights, this 24-hour race puts everything that makes a racing car a true endurance machine to the test. And it is in this setting that the MINI John Cooper Works stands out, with a spirit that combines tradition, innovation and an aesthetic that goes far beyond the conventional.
This year, the racing model, an evolution of the #317 MINI John Cooper Works Pro, comes with an entirely new image, the result of a partnership with the irreverent Deus Ex Machina. The result? A monochrome, audacious and almost artistic look, where the enlarged Deus logo stands out as a central graphic element. With hand-drawn details on the windows and other surfaces, the car looks like a kind of sketchbook in motion, a tribute to creativity and personalisation. The Bulldog Racing team, meanwhile, will be equipped with the latest collection from the Australian brand, reinforcing the symbiosis between performance and lifestyle.
MINI's history in motorsport
But MINI's history in motorsport didn't begin yesterday. Ever since its triumph at the Monte Carlo Rally in 1964, the little British giant, initially seen as an outsider, has been defying expectations. With engineer John Cooper transforming a nimble city car into a true racing car, MINI not only conquered that rally, but also repeated the feat in 1965 and 1967. That winning heritage is still very much alive today in the John Cooper Works models, equipped with TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder engines and aerodynamic tuning designed for pure performance.
Taking part in the Nürburgring is more than just a race. It is an affirmation of the MINI identity: irreverent, determined and passionate about the road. It's also a clear demonstration that when tradition meets innovation and disruptive design, the result can be as fast as it is inspiring.
The MINI John Cooper Works is ready. The clock is ticking. And the story continues to be written, curve after curve, night after night, until the chequered flag.
