All about the F1 2025 presentation and the change in broadcasting in Portugal
The 2025 Formula 1 season was officially unveiled yesterday, 18 February 2025, at a historic event held at the O2 Arena in London. For the first time, the ten teams and twenty drivers took to the stage to reveal the new single-seaters that will contest this year's championship. F1 75 Live’ celebrated 75 years of Formula 1 and marked the beginning of a new era in the way the teams present their cars to the public.
The event was full of memorable moments. The first team to present itself was Kick Sauber, with drivers Gabriel Bortoleto and Nico Hülkenberg, followed by Williams, who surprised us with Carlos Sainz, who joins Alex Albon in the British team. One of the most cinematic moments of the night came from Aston Martin, who made a James Bond style entrance, highlighting drivers Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll. However, the highlight of the evening, as expected, was the presentation of Lewis Hamilton as Ferrari driver, joining Charles Leclerc. The British driver was cheered by the fans after this historic career change.
The event ended with a presentation by McLaren, the current world constructors' champion, followed by a special concert by the band Take That.

Formula 1 2025 in Portugal: Now on DAZN
The 2025 season will also bring changes for Portuguese F1 fans. It was recently announced that DAZN has acquired the rights to broadcast Formula 1 in Portugal from 2025 to 2027, replacing Sport TV.
With this move, fans will have access to all Grand Prix broadcasts, including free practice, qualifying and sprint races. The broadcast package will also include competitions such as Formula 2, Formula 3, F1 Academy and Porsche SuperCup.
DAZN Portugal will form an experienced team with well-known faces to cover Formula 1 2025, guaranteeing an immersive broadcast for motorsport fans. Óscar Góis and Miguel Roriz will be narrating, accompanied by João Carlos Costa on commentary.
Nuno Pinto will be an expert commentator, while the technical commentary will be provided by former drivers Henrique Chaves and Lourenço Beirão da Veiga, as well as analyst João Amaral, who will provide a detailed analysis of the teams' strategies and performances. In the paddock, Rui Chagas will be the reporter on duty, bringing the latest news direct from the circuits.
DAZN Portugal also welcomed the FlyingLapF1 team (Instagram: @watch.flf1), the biggest and, considered by many Formula 1 fans, the best website for following F1 in Portugal. Leonor Passinhas, Inês Saraiva and Francisco Santana will be the FL Digital Hosts, while André Fernandes and Diogo Ruas will be the FL Digital Casters.
