New Luce, the first 100% electric car in Ferrari's history

New Luce, the first 100% electric car in Ferrari's history

Ferrari has officially unveiled the new Ferrari Luce, the model that will go down in history as the first fully electric Ferrari ever produced in series.

The new Luce represents one of the biggest transformations in Ferrari’s history and marks the Italian brand’s official entry into the electric supercar segment.

An electric Ferrari… but still with a “Ferrari soul”

Despite the move to electrification, Ferrari says the Luce was developed to preserve the emotional driving experience the brand is famous for.

According to Ferrari, the model features:

  • more than 1,000 hp

  • 0 to 100 km/h in under 2.5 seconds

  • top speed above 320 km/h

  • up to 530 km of range

  • four electric motors with an advanced torque distribution system

The Luce uses a new 800 volt electrical architecture, allowing ultra-fast charging speeds of up to 350 kW.

One of the biggest highlights is the new Torque Shift Engagement system, developed to make the driving experience more engaging and emotional. According to Ferrari, the system uses advanced regeneration management and torque delivery to create a driving experience closer to that of a combustion-powered model.

Ferrari also confirmed that the model features a specially developed sound experience designed to preserve part of the emotional identity associated with the brand’s engines. Instead of simply reproducing an artificial engine sound, Ferrari explains that the Luce amplifies real sounds and vibrations produced by the car’s mechanical and electrical components.

According to Ferrari itself, the goal was not simply to create “just another EV”, but rather to develop “a true Ferrari for a new era”.

A very different Ferrari design

Visually, the Luce moves away from the classic formula of Ferrari’s best-known models.

The car adopts a more futuristic Grand Tourer design, featuring:

  • four doors

  • five seats

  • a longer and more aerodynamic silhouette

  • an interior focused on luxury and technology

The design was developed in collaboration with LoveFrom, the company founded by former Apple designer Jony Ive.

According to Ferrari, the Luce was created to attract a new generation of customers looking for luxury, technology and daily usability without sacrificing performance.

Ferrari’s most practical model ever?

Beyond performance, Ferrari also focused heavily on comfort and versatility.

Thanks to its four doors and larger cabin space, the Luce was developed to provide a more comfortable experience for long journeys and everyday use.

This makes the Luce one of the most spacious and practical Ferraris ever built.

When will it arrive?

Some sources point to a launch in the fourth quarter of 2026, with prices expected to exceed €500,000.

With the Luce, Ferrari officially enters the electric era while trying to prove that electrification and emotion can still coexist in a true Ferrari.
