Last Saturday, Hoquei Clube de Turquel beat AD Oeiras 5-1 to remain unbeaten and at the top of the league, alongside CD Paço de Arcos. With this fourth win in four games, the ‘Brutos dos Queixos’ confirmed the good momentum they're going through at the start of the Championship and continue to be one of the forces to beat in the competition.
Tiago Mateus opened the scoring, AD Oeiras equalised and until the last seconds of the first half the score remained tied at one, until Lucas Vicente scored the goal that took the ‘Aldeia do Hóquei’ team to victory on the way to the changing rooms. In the second half, Tiago Almeida, Daniel Passos and, again, Tiago Mateus scored the goals that contributed to the final score of 5-1.
In addition to their attacking performance, their defensive solidity was once again a highlight: with only 6 goals conceded in four games, Turquel have consolidated their position as the least-beaten defence in the II Division National Championship, both in the north and the south.
