Return to the past in the village of Benedita

Last Sunday, June 16th, the 2nd edition of the Benedita Classics Festival took place and there were more than 100 automobile relics strolling through the streets of the region.
In an event with shared organization between Benecar – Cidade do Automóvel, Vitorinos Seguros and Clássicos Portugal, the town of Benedita returned to the past with several classic vehicles driving along the roads and making stops at locations in the region.
The tour started around 9 am and the more than one hundred classics were divided into two groups and visited the Salinas de Rio Maior, the Areeiro in the old Sifucel (also in Rio Maior) and Solancis, in Benedita. Participants had guided tours of the companies and also took the opportunity to get a meal supplement at each stop.
After all the visits, the classics traveled again to Benecar - Cidade do Automóvel and were exposed so that all lovers of classic cars could observe them. There was a buffet lunch for all participants in the Festival Clássicos Benedita and, afterwards, participation certificates and three outstanding prizes were handed out: Oldest Car, Best Restored Car and Loudest Car.
At the end of the lunch, there was musical entertainment with a DJ and all participants and visitors were able to exchange some impressions about the classic vehicles accompanied by good music and lots of fun.

Second edition was a success
More than a hundred icons from the automotive world participated in the second edition of the Festival Clássicos Benedita, with around 250 participants.
For Paulo Borralho, communications manager at Benecar, “this event is an authentic return to the past and is a way of energizing the town of Benedita”. On behalf of Vitorinos Seguros, Hugo Vitorino added that “this event shows the entrepreneurship of the Benedictenses and is already starting to become a success story, despite still being in its second edition”. Daniel Mergulhão, representing Classics Portugal, was proud and recalled that “despite being only the second edition, this event has already become one of the ones with the most participants”.
The feedback from all participants was positive and everything is thinking about the third edition of the Festival Clássicos Benedita, which will certainly be a reality in 2025.
