Kia EV3 voted Car of the Year 2025

Kia is once again at the forefront of automotive innovation by winning the title of Car of the Year 2025 with the new Kia EV3, an honour awarded at the World Car Awards, one of the most prestigious international prizes in the automotive industry. The announcement was made during the New York International Auto Show and highlights Kia's role as a global leader in sustainable electric mobility.

The Kia EV3 impressed a panel of 96 specialist journalists from 30 countries, who recognised the qualities of this compact electric SUV in terms of design, technology and range. Inspired by its big brother the EV9, the EV3 is a more affordable proposition, but without compromising on innovation or performance. The 81.4 kWh version has a range of up to 605 km, with fast charging from 10 to 80 per cent in just 31 minutes, figures that put it at the forefront of the compact electric segment.

But it's not just performance that stands out. The EV3's interior has been developed to maximise space and comfort, taking a modern and practical approach, with intuitive connectivity solutions, an Over-the-Air (OTA) update system, an artificial intelligence assistant and advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS). All this contributes to an intelligent, safe user experience adapted to the demands of today's mobility.

With this victory, Kia reinforces its prominent position on the world stage. Since 2020, the brand has won six titles at the World Car Awards, including the Kia EV9 (Car of the Year and Electric Car of the Year in 2024), the EV6 GT (Performance Car of 2023) and the Telluride (Car of the Year in 2020).

The distinction now awarded to the Kia EV3 confirms the brand's strategy of investing heavily in electrification and creating affordable, technological and truly sustainable solutions. The EV3 is not just another electric model, it is proof that the future of mobility can be compact, efficient and absolutely inspiring.
