Audi unveils Nuvolari, the most powerful car in its history

Audi has officially unveiled the new Audi Nuvolari, a high-performance hybrid supercar that takes a historic place within the German brand.

According to Audi, it is the most powerful and fastest production car ever developed by the four-ring manufacturer, combining electrified technology with figures worthy of the world's most exclusive hypercars.

The name Nuvolari was not chosen by chance. The supercar pays tribute to Tazio Nuvolari, widely regarded as one of the greatest drivers in motorsport history. The Italian racer made his mark during the 1920s and 1930s, becoming one of the most legendary figures in racing, renowned for his speed, courage and exceptional driving talent.

More than 1,000 hp and a top speed above 350 km/h

At the heart of the Nuvolari is a new high-performance hybrid powertrain. The model combines a twin-turbo V8 engine with three electric motors, delivering a combined output of 1,001 hp.

According to Audi, the combustion engine produces 730 Nm of torque and can rev up to an impressive 10,000 rpm, a range normally reserved for racing cars.

The electrified system also includes two oil-cooled axial-flux electric motors on the front axle, capable of delivering up to 2,150 Nm of torque. Together with a third electric motor positioned between the V8 engine and the transmission, these components work alongside the quattro system to ensure extremely fast and precise power distribution.

The result is remarkable performance: the Nuvolari accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds, reaches 200 km/h in 6.8 seconds, and exceeds 350 km/h in top speed.

These figures place the Nuvolari among the fastest and most powerful cars ever produced by a German manufacturer.

A return to the supercar segment

Although Audi has built iconic models such as the R8, the Nuvolari represents a new approach to the supercar segment.

According to Audi, the goal is to combine extreme performance with electrification while maintaining the usability and technology that define its flagship models.

Visually, the Nuvolari features an aggressive and aerodynamic body, with motorsport-inspired lines and several elements designed to maximize aerodynamic efficiency at high speeds.

The exterior also stands out thanks to Audi’s new exclusive Titanium paint finish, a color that will also be used on the Audi Concept C and Audi’s future Formula 1 car. Combined with various carbon-fiber components, this finish highlights the sharp and muscular lines of the new Nuvolari.

Limited production and arrival in 2027

Audi has confirmed that the Nuvolari will be limited to just 499 units worldwide.

This exclusivity is expected to make it one of the most desirable models in the brand’s recent history, competing directly with some of the most exclusive supercars on the market.

The first deliveries of the new Audi Nuvolari are scheduled for 2027, when customers will finally be able to get behind the wheel of what promises to be Audi’s fastest and most powerful production car ever.

With this model, Audi aims to prove that electrification can coexist with extreme performance while strengthening its position in the high-performance automotive segment.

One thing is certain: with 1,001 hp, a top speed of over 350 km/h, and a 0-200 km/h sprint in just 6.8 seconds, the Nuvolari instantly joins the list of the most impressive Audis ever built.
